After all the months of viewing, testing and deciding on the new press, today is the day it finally arrives and it did so in style.

Accompanied by a 40 tonne Crane the Komori arrived on time at 8 am this morning and was greeted with some sunshine here at Remous Ltd, the weather has been kind and as the photos demonstrate it has been a bit manic in the car park!

After a busy morning unloading and removing the crates which are built up around the units for the long journey from Japan, the engineers were finally able to start bringing the Lithrone S29 into our premises, its so large it has to be split into 3 sections!

Once all three sections are in position, they are then bolted together and the big build up begins, this will take most of the week just to put the machine and all it’s components together.

As print equipment develops year on year the presses become more and more complex, the Komori is extremely automated so the amount of cabling and wiring is even more involved than previous machinery.

This press is actually connected directly into our network and able to pull colour profiles straight from the PDF’s you supply.

We are still printing away on our two colour press, so you should see now interruption of supply  from us, but very soon the new machine will be able to gives us a real edge over the competition out there with unrivalled colour quality, speed and automation so watch this space!
