Komori Installation Upate

So many people are asking us ‘when will the new press be running?’

I am pleased to say not long now!
Due to this being a completely new machine it has to go through rigorous testing and safety checks both in Japan and when installed in the UK to ensure the machine performs to its absolute best (and safely)

Rollers being installed as you read!

As of today (Tuesday) The Komori team of Engineers, Demonstrators and Electricians have the machine in place, wired in and running.
All the safety checks are completed and the rollers prepared for installation, we were very pleased to see it running sheets through at 16000 per hour from the outset!

The Komori team working hard to meet our (and your!) deadline

As you can see the shop floor is looking more like pandemonium but it is an organised chaos!

Our press was actually built and print tested in Japan at the Komori factory, but then disassembled and coated in protective oil for the one month journey across the sea. All of this coating has to be removed before the press can then be assembled again, run through it’s safety checks and then finally begin installing the rollers,  blankets and all the other parts that go together to bring you the best print quality available in the UK.

Today we have also had first glance of the Colour Management system and it’s interaction with our new Agfa Prepress Software, I can see the results will be exceptional, the accuracy of colour will be second to none and we want you to benefit from this new technology, all at no extra cost.

Once we begin print tests later this week, we will upload a video of the machine in action – watch this space!
